The Role
We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Systems & Applications Technician to support the development, testing, and validation of power-electronics systems and application platforms. This role is critical in enabling rapid evaluation of new technologies, supporting customer engagements, and ensuring high-quality lab execution.
The ideal candidate is highly practical, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced lab environment, collaborating closely with applications engineers and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble PCBs (solder parts on printed circuit boards)
- Debug circuits and applications with engineering supervision
- Build small electrical assemblies (wiring) and small mechanical work (fixtures)
- Test using oscilloscope, power supplies, and multimeters (will train) following test procedures
- Help repair prototypes and boards damaged during testing
- Organize the lab
Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency in hand soldering of SMT and TH components on PCBs
- Basic electrical engineering knowledge (be able to identify resistors, capacitors and inductors at a minimum)
- Basic computer proficiency (Office products, some programming desirable)
- Previous electronics lab experience desirable
